You stargazer
   up to your ankles
in leaf litter

moonwatcher
   roots wrapped around stones
polished, muddled.

I am a star
   my shards shine like soft
scars desperate for dirt

drenched in depth
where you stare
I exist.

So empty, you’re filled
   so full, I explode
my crumbs, asteroids

pores emit air
betray inhumanity
soles of feet hover

lest I dive
chained
caught underwater.

Iridescence opens gates
twists locks and
lifts weights

and breathes life
into
    stargazers.

Explode daily
rise, sunshine and
stuff yourself

into a human shaped house.
